Another comment - I really loved the Medici chapel in Florence and their epic collection of relics.

Ever since I was a kid I loved reading about the lives of saints. This looks fascinating- I always enjoy your book recommendations

Both books sound very interesting! Reminds me of your "This is History" broadcast Season 5 Episode 9 of the "miracles" associated with the murder of Thomas, Earl of Lancaster!

found you with the Great London Fire on UTube. You were a younger you and as good as could be in the exciting presentation of that horror. I found it amazing to have relics from it being discovered and it of course made sense that poor people cannot mend the damage to their homes thus more available to the high temperature fire roaring through. Taxation being partly to blame makes me wonder why people in or running for office continue to pile on sneaky taxes to the poor. Treachery ahead for us all if that comes about. Damn their ignorance. Loved it told other to watch it on the big screens as that surely will make the reality of it far better. Thank you for a lovely film once again.

The books do sound interesting. They'll jump up my list of books to order next pay day.

Wow. New worlds unlocked. Absolutely LOVE the vibe of her artwork for this book! Not sure I understand what “paper cutting” is as a specific process but the mood of it is immaculate.

Fascinated by the way she approaches writing a book as one might approach crafting a dance piece or filming a music video. 🩷

Re: Saints being intrinsically weird…it’s almost as if paganism is our factory setting as a species even post religion…we can’t help but go back to it.

Really enjoyed this one Dan!
