Will there be a special edition? I might hang on for that. The first one is superb. A work of art.

I will certainly wait. I got the book on audible and have the special edition still in it's box. One day it will be a collectors item!

I have the limited UK edition of Essex Dogs BUT didn’t actually read/listen to the story until it came out in the US months later. Crazy, I know!!

I will add myself to the list if those asking about the special edition. Love mine so much I bought a 2nd non-fancy copy to read so I didn’t mess up my pretty one!

I did the same - haven’t touched my special edition, and bought the UK edition because I was unwilling to wait for the US one!

Can’t wait to get my hands on it.

Was it harder / different writing a book around one location / a “static” event rather than the march across France to Crecy?

To the uninitiated it would seem easier / feel more natural to have events crop up for the characters as they move from place to place visiting new locations, meeting new people etc. Or was the change useful to ensure the book felt different to the last one?

Hopefully that makes sense!

Okay, I'll save this for the audio post, but yes a radically different challenge - great question

Any chance of a talk & signing at Toppings Ely? Will not forget to buy two signed copies this year. The Christmas present went down very well!

Two questions:

1. Will there be another audiobook with Ben Miles? That was banging

2. Any chance of a signing at Toppings Bath? I'd be there with bells on

Big ups!

Yay! Can’t wait. I will definately be pre-ordering. I am actually ordering Essex Dogs for a friend. I know theyre going to love it.

My question: Is there a character that gives you the most trouble when writing or one you kinda wanna strangle a bit? My reader’s example...I really love but kind of want to smack Romford sometimes. He feels so relatable in comparision to a few people I know though. I can’t wait to find out about the Captain & the woman.
