I’ve got a shit load of wood stashed in my garage from when we demolished our fence and then never bothered going to the tip. So we are good for a trebuchet!
I'm in! Castello Di Badia has my vote! With a name sounding like 'bad', the etc crew as castle mates, walking distance to the station for transport and a vineyard! What more is there to say... 🍷
The dungeon at Château de Farcheville sounds good for the annoying but hey a vineyard! Come on! Who needs a dungeon for the annoying, just drown them medieval style in a vat of the vineyard rough batch and blame the bad castle made you do it
Good morning! There’s a fake castle a half hour from here in Napa that Disney is currently filming some show in. Rich Americans love building medieval castles- I think it’s a thing.
My vote would be the Spanish castle because I love the whole Al Andalus. Took a trip to Zaragoza a few years ago and loved the castle in town there (can’t remember the name).
I see a reality show in the making…Dans Jones’ History, Etc. Community shows you how life in a castle looked like…or should have looked like? Or…would have looked like if everyone just sat around drinking wine all day? Can we all wear costumes and don medieval names and titles?
There’s a gorgeous castle somewhere in Scotland you can rent. It’s on its own island. Can’t remember it’s name though. I looked at it for when we were getting married (slight delusions of grandeur there!)
Poggibonsai here I come! Castello di Badia gets my vote. I just want to hang out in the library, gorge myself on San Felice Chianti Classico and Tagliatelle al tartufo, and lounge by that amazing pool surrounded by battlements and olive trees (a cannonball contest before sunset included of course). A little jaunt over to the medieval walled town of Monteriggioni would be nice.
My vat of boiling oil has been bubbling away so we're sorted on that score. Anyone got their own siege machine?
Who are we fighting? I’ll bring wine…..but that won’t be much help in a fight.
I’ll bring wine and a longsword, does that help?
Will you bring the Rock to wield it? I'll sit back, drink my wine and watch.......

“Fetchez la vache!”
Excellent. I'm sure there are blueprints on Google (other search engines are available)

As an aside, I’ll bring the cool pool floats.
Feel free to bring those on over to Castello di Badia for the pool party! :)
count me in! I want to rent a castle and nerd out with other history geeks. I bet I can make mead. Let's do this.

Okay, I need to be on that show
Appoint me to your *radical* mostly women privy council and you've got yourself a deal, majesty.
Morning Dan! If anyone wants to chip in for a castle, count me in :D

Fantastic! Let's do that! I can bring the obligatory dogs - they aren't very good at guarding, but they do love a cuddle and are very cute.
I’ll bring my cats, they are excellent mousers. And my needlework plus sewing kit for running repairs on clothes and tapestries
I'm in for any (except US) :D

We can rent one for two weeks. It will be our fortnight
I vote the Italian one🍷
