Can I just add... (sorry have a huge connection to fraud and its prevention)

If you do get any emails and you are in the UK, please forward to report@phishing.gov.uk. This forwarding is managed by Action Fraud. If you forward the emails they can log the attempt, review the email address and block it. They can also build a better picture of fraud scams and attempts if you let them know. This information can the warn others of the scams through messaging.

If it is a text just forward to 7726. This is your service provider who will log the call, other frequencies of texts and can block the number it comes from.

The website for Action Fraud and the National Crime Agency have some great advice for staying safe from fraud.

Sorry! Stop my crime prevention advice now! Promise I'm not a phisher!

Dad was getting calls to try and flog him scam warranties for appliances. He'd just hang up but they kept persisting.

Whilst I was there I answered the phone when the number popped up. My answering the phone with "hello, you are through to West Yorkshire Police Fraud Unit" had the bloke hanging up and not calling again.

Isn’t there something about “you know you’ve made it when people start impersonating you”?

You’re in the big leagues now Sir!
