Typical of a Brit to ignore the Glorious Revolution of the oppressed American male against the tyranny of paying taxes and focus on yet another loss in the battle against the infidels. I think I'll go fire off my military arsenal into the air which the second Amendment demands that I keep in my basement just to prove how free I am. Or maybe the mushrooms just kicked in. One Love from the Colonies!

I'll be celebrating my sons birthday! He's an independent boy 😉

When he was 7 we took him to Washington. We stood on the Hay Adams roof and told him all the fireworks were for his birthday 🤣

Both are terrific books. Just watching Buried: Knight's Templar on Blaze. Very interesting.

Brava Saladin 👏 a brave, skilled and courteous opponent

Here in the Yew Ess of Ayy- I’m focused on Gettysburg of July 1,2,3 1863 - a quite pivotal point for the war and really the beginning of the end of the CSA. As an unrepentant Yankee for me it’s always a gripping saga. Great loss of life and mind boggling to contemplate.

Plus it’s 95 degrees out so what else is there to do but read and revel in the air conditioning?

Half way through Crusaders at the moment, my chosen holiday book, great book for the poolside in the heat 👌

Not an era I've read much about as tend to lean more to British medieval history but finding this fascinating and really recommend it 👍

I saw a copy of your book, The Templars in my local library yesterday under J in the fiction section. I was going to bring it to the attention of the librarian that it should actually be in non fiction history but thought, no , somebody will take this out so moved it to the display shelf. Somebody else is going to be hooked on your books soon…….

Have those books, haven't had a chance to read them...I'll hang out in the partially dead corner. LOVE the art! Kudos on horses that are realistic ☺️. We're actually doing our Independence Day celebration today (burgers, grilled corn, homemade root beer... whole nine yards) because my daughter works tomorrow.

Have a great week, hope you're feeling better, can't wait for the audio post!!!

Glad I’m not dead to you as I’ve read and enjoyed both of those books! Cracking image - I have an obsession at the moment with medieval manuscript and tapestry art so it’s always good to see a great example of one in my inbox.
